Cindi Ignatovsky, L.Ac.

is experienced in treating a wide variety of health conditions with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She often works with patients undergoing conventional Western treatments, and she combines both Western and Eastern diagnostic tools so that her patients receive the wisdom of both worlds.

Cindi's comprehensive treatments incorporate acupuncture, heat therapy, herbal prescriptions, and nutritional and lifestyle counseling. She creates a customized treatment plan for each patient, detailing Western and Eastern diagnosis, appropriates modalities for treatment, and measures for self care.

Fertility is a large part of Cindi's practice. She is dedicated to increasing the success rates for patients undergoing Western fertility treatments as well as for those trying to conceive on their own. Cindi enjoys working with her patients through all stages of pregnancy and postpartum care, including labor and delivery.

Other women's health conditions that Cindi successfully treats include menstrual irregularities, hormone imbalances, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, PCOS, and menopausal symptoms.

Cindi has extensive experience in working with Hepatitis C patients to manage symptoms and progression of the disease as well as side effects from Western treatment. She is a Hepatitis C Certified Practitioner and was personally trained by internationally recognized expert Dr. Misha Cohen, OMD, L.Ac., author of The Hepatitis C Help Book. Cindi continues to work closely with Dr. Cohen.

Cindi treats patients with autoimmune disorders such as chronic fatigue, systemic lupus, multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, and fibromyalgia. She also has great success with digestive disorders, including IBS, Celiac Disease and Crohn's Disease.

Professional Background

Cindi has been involved in Chinese Medicine since 1997. She graduated at the top of her class from Five Branches Institute in Santa Cruz, CA, where she earned her Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine. At Five Branches, she interned under Sharon Feng, MD, OMD, L.Ac. (former Chief of Residents, OB/GYN, at Shanghai Medical Hospital, China). After graduation, Cindi worked for several years with Dr. Misha Cohen, OMD, L.Ac., an internationally recognized expert in the areas of TCM and HIV, Hepatitis C, and gynecology. Cindi also has completed advanced training with Raven Lang, L.Ac., a leading expert in TCM Obstetrics and one of the first midwives in California.

Cindi is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist in California, considered to be the highest level of TCM licensing in the United States. Her post-graduate work includes on-going training in the areas of gynecology and obstetrics, fertility, and Hepatitis C. She is a Hepatitis C Certified Practitioner.

Cindi is a member of the American Pregnancy Association, Blossom Birth and BABI.

Cindi is also the mother of two children, both "advanced maternal age" babies.
